Signal Map is MoneySmith's income-niche intelligence dashboard. This wiki explains every metric, every chart, every niche — and how to actually use them to choose where to put your time.

What is Signal Map?
Signal Map is a live opportunity dashboard that scores 25 distinct income niches across seven dimensions, then presents the result as a visual, tradable view — the same shape a stock chart takes, but for whether a niche is currently worth your time.
Each niche gets a single 0–100 Signal Score, plus a breakdown of demand, supply, sustainability, growth, momentum and saturation. You can read it like a market: identify the lanes that are heating up, the ones that are crowded, and the quiet pockets with room to grow.
Why it's first-of-its-kind
Signal Map sits in a category by itself. Tools you may have used before answer adjacent questions but not the one that actually matters for an operator: "where should I be putting my next 100 hours?"
Tool
What it answers
Where it stops short
Google Trends
Is this term being searched more or less right now?
Says nothing about whether the niche is monetisable, supplied, or sustainable.
Exploding Topics
Which terms are spiking in interest?
Optimised for novelty; many spikes are micro-fads with no buyer base.
Glimpse / TrendsWatch
Which sub-trends are gaining attention?
Excellent for inspiration, but trend ≠ business; no supply or saturation read.
Signal Map
For each of 25 income lanes — what's the demand, what's the supply, how crowded is it, and how durable is it?
Designed specifically for the operator decision: 'where to spend the next 100 hours.'
Signal Map sacrifices breadth for depth. It scores 25 carefully chosen income lanes that map directly to MoneySmith's strategy plans — not every keyword on the internet — so each score is the result of a curated model, not crowd-sourced search noise.
The seven metrics, explained
Every niche on Signal Map is scored along the same seven axes. Here's what each one means and how to read the number.
Signal Score
0–100
The headline number. A blended opportunity score that weighs demand, supply, growth, and momentum into a single, comparable figure.
→≥ 70 → strong opportunity, room to grow with disciplined execution.
→40–69 → workable lane; depends heavily on differentiation.
→< 40 → saturated, declining, or hyper-niche; pick your battles.

Buyer Demand Index
0–100
How actively people are searching for, asking about, or paying for outcomes inside the niche right now.
→High (≥ 60) → real wallets, real intent.
→Mid (40–59) → demand exists but you'll work for distribution.
→Low (< 40) → educate first or wait for the wave to form.
Live preview
Operator Supply Index
0–100
How crowded the niche is with sellers and operators competing for the same buyers.
→Low (≤ 40) → white space; first-mover advantage available.
→Mid (41–60) → established but not saturated; differentiation wins.
→High (> 60) → crowded; you need a sharper wedge or lower price.

Sustainability Rating
0–100% · label
How resilient this niche is to fads, platform shifts, and demand collapses. Higher is safer for long-term bets.
→70%+ → durable: weathers algorithm changes and trend cycles.
→40–70% → cyclical: plan for re-positioning every 12–18 months.
→< 40% → fad-prone: harvest fast, don't anchor an identity to it.

12-Month Growth Outlook
%
Projected expansion of the addressable market over the next 12 months, blending macro tailwinds and sector signals.
→Positive double-digits → tailwind; even mediocre execution can win.
→Flat (±5%) → mature; pure execution / margin game.
→Negative → headwind; consider an adjacent niche.

Momentum (RSI)
0–100
Borrowed from technical trading: a momentum index of how 'overheated' the niche is right now relative to its own history.
→≥ 70 → overheated; everyone's piling in. Late-arrival risk is real.
A plain-English read on how crowded the field is with credible operators.
→Low → first-movers win; speed matters more than polish.
→Medium → differentiation, brand, and packaging move the needle.
→High → either go cheaper, narrower, faster — or pick a different niche.

The three chart views
Signal Map presents each niche under three lenses. They share the same data — they just emphasise a different question.
Opportunity Trend
Purpose
Track how the headline Signal Score has moved over time.
What you see
Candlestick + EMA-9 (amber, fast trend) and EMA-21 (blue, slow trend), with momentum (RSI) underneath.
How to read it
Look for fast-trend crossing above slow-trend (early momentum). RSI ≥ 70 means overheated — be careful chasing the breakout.

Demand & Supply
Purpose
See where buyers and operators are concentrated, side by side.
What you see
Two stacked area charts: top shows Buyer Demand Index, bottom shows Operator Supply Index, both 0–100.
How to read it
The widest gap — high demand, low supply — is the opportunity zone. Where supply outruns demand, expect price compression.

Market Overview
Purpose
Snapshot the entire 25-niche board so you can compare lanes.
What you see
Sortable bar chart of the headline Signal Score across all niches.
How to read it
Quick way to spot outliers: niches scoring far above their cohort, or sustained leaders worth a deeper look.

The 25 income niches
Signal Map currently scores these 25 income lanes. To make the 25-niche board easier to navigate, we group them into seven themes — each with its own dynamic, its own buyer profile, and its own way of rewarding (or punishing) operators.
Creative & Media
5 niches
Lanes where output is a creative artifact and audience attention is the unit of value. Demand can be enormous but supply is loud; durable wins come from a recognisable point of view, not volume.
Demand-generation services and the business of monetising other people's reach. Buyers are sophisticated, retainers compound, and proven case studies move the price.
Selling physical or near-physical goods online and off. Margin discipline and operational rigour matter more than creative flair — the score rewards repeatability over novelty.
Building or operating software, integrations, and automated systems. Highest leverage and highest competition; supply moves fast as tooling collapses build cost.
Each top-level niche on the board has 15–17 sub-niches mapped underneath it — variations of the same market that share buyers but differ in how you'd execute. Sub-niche-level recommendations are tailored in your strategy PDF; the Signal Map dashboard reflects the parent niche.
How to act on a Signal Map read
1
Lead with the Signal Score, not the chart shape.
A pretty up-and-to-the-right line on a 35-score niche is still a 35. Anchor on the headline number; the chart shows you context, not verdict.
2
Find the demand–supply gap.
Switch to Demand & Supplyand look for the widest positive gap (demand > supply). That's the structural edge — price and attention will reward you for being there before others.
3
Filter by Sustainability before falling in love.
High Signal + low Sustainability is a sprint, not a build. If you're looking for something to anchor a year of work to, only consider sustainability ≥ 60%.
4
Use Momentum (RSI) to time entry.
RSI in the 40–65 band is the sweet spot — momentum exists, the niche isn't crowded with late-arrivers yet. RSI ≥ 75 means the obvious money is already in.
5
Cross-check against your skills and capital.
Signal Map tells you which niches are good. You tell it which ones you can credibly execute in. The right pick is the intersection, not the highest score.
6
Re-read monthly.
Markets move. Sustainability is your insurance against churn, but even durable niches re-rate. Re-checking your watchlist once a month is enough.
